Unfortunately, the Amiibo cards were only available in Japan and Europe, so the Pocket Camp event will be the first opportunity for Americans fans to get their hands on some Sanrio goodies for Animal Crossing. Scanning a card would bring 1 of 6 villagers into their game, along with their custom RV and collection of furniture and items. During the Amiibo update for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Sanrio released a collection of Amiibo cards featuring new villagers inspired by Sanrio's design. This is actually the second time Sanrio characters have made their way into Animal Crossing.
